TL;DR — Greater Manchester's share of the UK economy has risen to 4.1%, up from 3.6% in 2015 (Greater Manchester Combined Authority, January 2026), and the city centre is in the middle of a visible wave of relocations: the Information Commissioner's Office is moving its national headquarters from Wilmslow into Circle Square on Oxford Road for autumn 2026, and BT opened a new flagship office for up to 2,000 staff at Four New Bailey, Spinningfields, in April 2025. Blueberry Media works with Manchester-based founders and directors entirely remotely from Hungerford, Berkshire, around 175 miles away. We record a 45-minute conversation every two weeks and turn it into three to four LinkedIn posts, monthly rolling, no long-term contract. Here is the complete guide to LinkedIn personal branding for Manchester's leadership market.

A city in the middle of a relocation wave, and the LinkedIn gap inside it

Manchester city centre is going through one of its most visible waves of relocations in years. The Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's independent data protection regulator, announced in June 2025 that it is moving its national headquarters from Wilmslow, Cheshire, into a 20,000 sq ft space at Bruntwood SciTech's No.3 Circle Square, part of an £87 million, 267,000 sq ft innovation hub on Oxford Road. The move is planned for autumn 2026, ending the regulator's 40-year base in Wilmslow. A few months earlier, in April 2025, BT opened Four New Bailey in Spinningfields, a new multi-million-pound flagship office housing up to 2,000 colleagues, the final step in the group's UK-wide office consolidation programme.

The wider North West region is home to nearly 7 million people and around 230,000 companies, with three-quarters of the UK's Top 100 companies operating somewhere in the region (Department for Business and Trade, business.gov.uk). Greater Manchester's own share of the UK economy has risen to 4.1%, up from 3.6% in 2015, and the city-region has secured £476.7 million in government investment to support further growth (Greater Manchester Combined Authority, January 2026). Manchester's economy is separately forecast to grow at 2.5% a year between 2024 and 2026, the third-fastest rate of any UK city or town, behind only Reading and London (EY ITEM Club, via Greater Manchester Business Board). This is the same buyer research behaviour covered in our guide to B2B buying behaviour on LinkedIn: buyers are researching before they ever make contact, and a city adding this many visible new headquarters just raises the stakes on being visible during that phase.

Blueberry Media is based around 175 miles away in Hungerford, Berkshire. We work with Manchester-based founders and directors entirely remotely, the same way we work with clients across the UK.

Manchester by district: where the buyers actually are

"Manchester" isn't one buyer market. The district a founder or director works from usually says more about who they're selling to than the word "Manchester" does on its own.

District Dominant sector Why it matters for LinkedIn
Spinningfields Legal, financial & professional services BT's new Four New Bailey office and law firms like JMW and Browne Jacobson anchor a buyer base that researches suppliers formally, well before contact
NOMA, City Centre Insurance & corporate services Home to the Co-op Group's One Angel Square headquarters, one of the most visible single-site HQs outside London
Circle Square, Oxford Road Corridor Tech, science & innovation The ICO's incoming national HQ and Bruntwood SciTech's innovation district put founder-led tech and life-sciences businesses next to the universities
MediaCityUK, Salford Quays Media & broadcast The BBC and ITV's Northern hub means a high concentration of leaders whose own visibility often is the brand

Who we work with in Manchester

Our Manchester clients tend to sit in professional and financial services, tech and digital, and media and creative, reflecting the sectors concentrated around Spinningfields, the Oxford Road Corridor and MediaCityUK. Many have built real credibility through their work but have no consistent way of putting that expertise in front of buyers who are already researching on LinkedIn before they ever make contact.

How the service works

Every engagement starts with a 45-minute recorded conversation every two weeks. We send you a set of questions in advance. You talk naturally about your market, your experience, and your current thinking. From that conversation, we build three to four LinkedIn posts per week that reflect your voice accurately, because the material comes directly from you.

Every package includes profile optimisation, a content strategy built around your commercial goals, and a monthly performance report covering impressions, profile views, connection growth, and inbound signals. Higher-tier packages add newsletter writing, outreach management, and short-form video production from your recorded conversation.

The service is delivered entirely remotely. You do not need to travel to a meeting or adjust your schedule beyond the fortnightly recording call. See our LinkedIn personal branding service for the full breakdown.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Last updated 11 September 2026

Does Blueberry Media have an office in Manchester? +

No. Blueberry Media is based in Hungerford, Berkshire, around 175 miles from Manchester, and works with Manchester-based founders and directors entirely remotely. There is no local office and no local team, just the same direct working relationship you'd get either way.

Why would a Manchester-based founder use a remote LinkedIn agency? +

LinkedIn personal branding doesn't depend on geography. It depends on understanding your voice, your sector and your buyers well enough to write like you, not like a template. That work happens over a recorded conversation and written briefs, not in person.

What sectors in Manchester does Blueberry Media typically work with? +

Most Manchester clients sit in professional and financial services, tech and digital, and media and creative, reflecting the sectors concentrated around Spinningfields, the Oxford Road Corridor and MediaCityUK.

How much does LinkedIn personal branding support cost for a Manchester-based founder? +

Pricing depends on scope, from ongoing content retainers to one-off strategy work, and doesn't change based on being in Manchester specifically.

Is there a long-term contract? +

No. We start with an initial 90-day sprint, then move to monthly rolling with 30 days notice. No setup fees, no exit penalties, no minimum term.
